HIstorical relativity vs retrojectionism

If you want an idea of the Roman attitude towards sexuality, think of this:  it did not matter to the Romans that Caligula had sex with men.

It mattered that he made a horse a senator.

Add to that Judean acceptance of Ruth and David and you get the idea:  sexuality was NOT an issue in the ancient world.

It has been noted that nowhere in the gospels does Jesus make any mention of Leviticus 18:22 or 20:13.
