*
About
the collection for the holy ones: as I directed the gatherings of Galatia, so
you also are to do.
* On the first day of every week, each of
you put something by, treasuring it up
in order that he might be prospered in it, so that there will be no collections
when I come.
*
When I will
have arrived, whoever you approve I will send to carry your bounty to Jerusalem.
* If it seems suitable
for me also to go, they will go with me.
*
I will come
to you when I will have gone through Macedonia, for I am going through
Macedonia,
And perhaps I
will stay with you or even spend the winter, so that you may help me on my
journey, wherever I go.
* I do not
want to see you presently in passing. I hope to remain a certain time with you,
if the Lord permits.
* But I will remain
in Ephesus until Pentecost,
* A door has
been opened greatly and efficiently to me,
and there are many adversaries
.
*
If
Timothy should come, see that he might be without fear among you, for he is works
the work of the Lord, as I do.
This
is the vocabulary and syntax of Paul that we recognize from Philippians, 1
Thessalonians and Philemon.
Μη τις ουν
* No
one should despise him.
Set him forward in peace, that he may come to me, for I await him with the
brothers.
*
About
brother Apollos, I strongly urged him to go to you with the brothers, but it
was not at all his will that he should come now. He will come when he will have
opportunity.
*
Watch you,
stand firm in the faith, act like men, be strong.
* Let all your
things done in love.
*
I urge
you, brothers—you know that the house of Stephanas was the firstfruit in
Achaia, and that they have devoted themselves to the service of the holy ones—
* Be subject
to such as these, and to everyone working and straining.
* I rejoice at the coming of Stephanas and
Fortunatus and Achaicus, because they have filled up for your deficiency,
* They
refreshed my spirit and yours. Recognize such men.
*
The gatherings
of Asia send you greetings. Aquila and Prisca, with the gathering in their
house, greet you well in the Lord.
* All the brothers send you greetings.
Greet one another with a holy kiss.
*
The greeting
in the own hand of Paul.
Ει τις ου
* If anyone does
not love for the Lord, let him be accursed. Our Lord, come!
* The favor of
the Lord Jesus be with you.
* My love with
you all in Christ Jesus. Amen.
