Romans, chapters 14-16 more inaccurate citations

* The one being weak in faith, receive, but not for decisions of thoughts.

* He believes to eat all things, another being weak eats vegetables.

* The one eating, do not despise the one who does not eat, and the one who does not eat not judge on the one who eats, for God has received him.

* Who are you judging another’s servant? To his own master he stands or falls. he will be made to stand, for the Lord is able to make him stand.

New word:  οικετην instead of δουλος

* One judges a day as above [another] day, one judges every day [alike]. Let each be fully assured in his own mind.

 * The one regarding the day, regards to the Lord. The one eating, eats to the Lord, he gives thanks to God, the one not eating, does not eat to the Lord and gives thanks to God.

* For none of us lives to himself, and none of us dies to himself.

* For if we live, we live to the Lord, and if we die, we die to the Lord. So then, whether we live or whether we die, we are the Lord’s.

 * For this Christ died and lived again, tin order hat he might rule over the corpses and living.

* Why do you judge your brother? Or you, why do you despise your brother? We will all stand before the judgment seat of God;

 * For it has been written,

“I live, says the Lord, in order that every knee will bow to me,
and every language shall confess to God.”

A not very accurate citation of Isa 45:23:  By myself I have sworn; from my mouth has gone out in righteousness a word that shall not return: 'To me every knee shall bow, every tongue shall swear allegiance.'”

* So then each of us concerning himself will give account to God.

* Let us not judge one another any longer, but rather judge not to put a stumbling block or hindrance in the way of a brother.

* I know and am persuaded in the Lord Jesus that nothing is unclean through itself, but if not to the one reckoning anything to be unclean, to that one [it is] unclean.

* If your brother is grieved by what you eat, you are no longer walking according to love. Do not with your food destroy him for whom Christ died.

 *  Do not let evil be spoken of your good.

* The kingdom of God is eating and drinking but righteousness and peace and joy in the holy spirit.

 * Whoever serves Christ in these things is well-pleasing to God and approved by men.

* Let us pursue things of peace and things for building up.

* Do not, for the sake of food, destroy the work of God. All things are indeed pure, but it is wrong to the man to make another stumble through eating.

* it is good not to eat meat or drink wine or [anything] in which your brother stumbles.

22 The faith which you have, keep to yourself before God. Blessed is he who does not judge himself in what he approves.

* The one who doubts has been condemned if he eats, because it is not from faith. All that is not from faith is sin

* We who are strong ought to bear the failings of the weak, and not to please ourselves.

*Let each of us please his neighbor for his good, to build him up.

* Christ did not please himself, but as it has been written, “The reproaches of those reproaching you fell on me.”

An inaccurate and incomplete citation of Psalm 69:9:  For zeal for your house has consumed me, and the reproaches of those who reproach you have fallen on me.”

* Whatever was written before was written before our instruction, that through endurance and through the encouragement of the writings we might have hope.

* God of endurance and encouragement give you the same thing to mind with one another, according to Christ Jesus,

* That with one accord, with one mouth, you might glorify the God and Father of our Lord Jesus Christ.

 * Therefore receive one another as Christ received you, to the glory of God.

* For I say you Christ has become a servant of the circumcision for God’s truthfulness, in order to confirm the promises of the patriarchs,

*  The nations, for mercy, to glorify God. As it has been written,

“Therefore I will confess you among the nations,
and I will sing to your name.”

An inaccurate citation of one of two sources:  2 Sam 22:50: “For this I will praise you, O LORD, among the nations, and sing praises to your name.” or Psalm 18:49: “For this I will praise you, O LORD, among the nations, and sing to your name.”

* And again it says,
“Rejoice, O nations, with his people.”

An even more inaccurate citation of one of two sources:  Deut 32:43:  Rejoice with him, O heavens; bow down to him, all gods, for he avenges the blood of his children and takes vengeance on his adversaries. He repays those who hate him and cleanses his people's land." Or Isa 66:10: “Rejoice with Jerusalem, and be glad for her, all you who love her; rejoice with her in joy, all you who mourn over her”

* And again,
“Praise the Lord, all you nations,
and let all the peoples extol him.”

An inaccurate citation of Psalm 117:1: “Praise the LORD, all nations! Extol him, all peoples!”

* And again Isaiah says,
“There will be the root of Jesse,
and he who arises to rule nations;
in him will nations will hope.”

A very inaccurate citation of Isa 11:10:  In that day the root of Jesse, who shall stand as a signal for the peoples--of him shall the nations inquire, and his resting place shall be glorious.”

* The God of hope might fill you with all joy and peace in believing, to abound you in hope in [the] power of the holy spirit.

* I am persuaded concerning you, my brothers, that you yourselves are full of goodness, being filled with all knowledge and being able to admonish one another.

 * More boldly did I write you in part as reminding you through the favor having been given to me by God

* For me to be a minister of Christ Jesus to the nations administering in the sacred service of the good news of God, in order that the offering of the natons may be acceptable, sanctified by the holy spirit.

* I have the boasting in Christ Jesus [as to] things before God.

* I will not dare to say anything of which Christ has not produced through me to in the obedience of the nations—by word and word,

* In the power of signs and wonders, in the power of the Spirit of God—so as me from Jerusalem and around to Illyricum to have fully proclaimed the good news of Christ;

* Being ambitious to bring the good news, not where Christ was named, in order that I not build on another’s foundation,

 * As it has been written,
“Those who have never been told of him will see,
and those who have never heard will understand.”

An inaccurate citation of Isa 52:15:  so shall he sprinkle many nations; kings shall shut their mouths because of him; for that which has not been told them they see, and that which they have not heard they understand.”

* Thus I was hindered from coming to you.

* But now, having no longer a place in these regions, and having a great desire to come to you for many years,

* I hope to see you in passing as I go to Spain, and to be helped on my journey there by you, once I have enjoyed your company for a while.

* Now, however, I go to Jerusalem doing service to the holy ones.

*  Macedonia and Achaia were pleased to make a certain contribution for the poor of the holy ones in Jerusalem.

 * They were pleased, and indeed they are debtors to them. For if the Gentiles participated in their spiritly thing, they are indebted to minister to them in fleshly things.

* Having finished this and having sealed this fruit to them I will set off through you into Spain

* I know that coming to you I will come in the fullness of the blessing of Christ.

* I urge to you, brothers, by our Lord Jesus Christ and by the love of the Spirit, to strive together with me in prayers to God on my behalf,

* In order that I might be delivered from the unbelieving in Judea, and that my service in Jerusalem may be acceptable to the holy ones,

* That in joy, having come before you through God’s will, I might be refreshed with you.

 * The God of peace be with you all. Amen.
